The Italian manufacturer Yaxon was in business only for a short time in the late 1970s. The company started producing diecast models in 1978 and made simple, but realistic reproductions of Formula 1 racing cars from the 1977, 1978 and 1979 seasons in 1/43rd scale in the "Yaxon Racing Team" range. In addition, this range included racing versions of contemporary sports cars (BMW M1, Ferrari BB, Lancia Beta Montecarlo, Porsche 935) in the same scale. The Formula 1 models were also available in kit form. However, Yaxon also manufactured a wide range of tractors in 1/43rd and 1/32nd scale, as well as some truck and bus models.
