The tricycle built by Karl Benz in Mannheim and first driven in January 1886 is said to be he first car powered by an internal combustion engine. With its 0.9 HP single-cylinder engine the vehicle could reach a maximum speed of 15 km/h. The Benz tricycle was modelled by various manufacturers in various scales, apart from the Ixo model in my collection other models have been released e.g. by Cursor and by Franklin Mint.
