MZZ was a Swiss manufacturer of model railroad accessories based in Schaffhausen. The company produced backdrops for model railway layouts and introduced a series of road vehicles made of white metal in very small scales in the 1980s. These models are suitable for N-gauge (1/160th scale) or Z-gauge (1/220th scale) model railway layouts. In 1/160th scale, the range focused on German and Swiss trucks and on German cars from the 1920s to the 1950s. In 1/220th scale, most models are commercial vehicles, but MZZ even released microcars such as the Fiat 500 and the Messerschmitt Kabinenroller in this scale, too. The models were sold fully assembled and decorated, but were also available in kit form. After MZZ had closed down its business in Schaffhausen in 2007, the stocks were taken over by the German company Aktionshaus MZZ.
