Poliguri was a Portuguese maker of 1/60ish scale die-cast car models based in Lisbon and active in the late 1980s with a small range of good quality cars and trucks. The "Guri Car" range originally included an Unimog, the Mercedes-Benz 207 and 307 in various forms, as well as a Mercedes-Benz 200, followed by a Fiat Uno and a Peugeot 405 Turbo 16, both released in 1989. Another series called "Guri Kit" comprised 14 references combining the truck models with plastic accessories such as traffic signs, street lights, petrol pumps, bus stops and benches, allowing children to create an adequate setting for their models. Some of the models seem to have been inspired by Siku and Majorette products, which is not only true in the models Poliguri decided to produce, but also in details such as the wheel design. However, they are no copies, but original designs.
