Biante is an Australian manufacturer and distributor of detailed diecast model cars. The company was founded in Perth in 1998 by Trevor and Bev Young and focuses on models of Australian road and racing cars in 1/18th, 1/43rd and 1/64th scale. Several models in 1/12th scale have also been released. The models are made in China at the Autoart factory and were originally marketed either under the Autoart or the Biante name. In the course of time, the Biante label became more common for the models of Australian cars. Trevor Young died in 2006, but his business was maintained by the company HGL Limited. In 2017, Biante was purchased by Downies, a collectables company previously specialized in selling coins, banknotes and stamps.
